Karl Marx once said , "The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism”. The economy decline is causing major destruction in America. It is important to me because it is affecting all of us as a nation. This is major social issue. People are doing the most unthinkable things. Many are losing their jobs, robbing banks, so they can provide for their families. It is very heartbreaking to see this. A lot of people are dying because they can't afford medical insurance and delaying their visits to the doctor they do not have medical coverage. Even some of the middle cl are becoming homeless because they are getting laid off their jobs. The unemployment rates are steady going up. Many factories are relocating and downsizing staff all over .People are losing their homes because they can not pay their bills and mortgage. As the result, many are living on the street and are homeless. Shelters are willing to reach out a helping hand to the homeless, but they lack funds and only can provide limited government istance. Individuals are selling drugs to get money and getting involved with prostitution. Numerous of people are depressed and committing suicide. Some feel like there is no other way to survive without finances and job, which contributes to socials problems of the economic downturn.
