Dane Cook isnt funny!?

I saw some dane cook today, can someone from america please explain to me why he is so big? I mean, he's just not funny! Dont you think demetri martin or Mitch Hedberg (rip) should be bigger? I just cant get my head around why people find him funny! Does he relate to american life or?? Thanks :)
