Will Tax Tea Parties do any good?

I know without a doubt that doing nothing won't make a difference. The blue dog Democrats are already beginning to back down off the Obama high and question the spending. I think that if enough legislators are hounded about the spending hard enough and long enough that more will begin to change their minds and perhaps we could see a difference. I think many of them covet their jobs, but realize that a hacked off constituency can see to it that they lose them. I think that public outrage was largely responsible for the failure of the amnesty bill that Bush wanted to push through, so I wouldn't say that it's totally impossible for it to work in this case.
