Does Judaism endorse elitism?
I am referring to elitism’s simple connotation: “more special”. My boyfriend comes from an Orthodox Jewish background and I perfectly understand that for the most part Judaism is a peaceful philosophy. It does not condemn non-Jews and it states that non-Jews can also comply with G-d’s will. Out of the three Abrahamic ideologies, Judaism is the one I appreciate the most, especially because proselytizing isn’t endorsed. Though, it still claims that Jews are the ones “who have upheld G-d’s will”. Isn’t that a bit egotistical? Thinking that you *know* what G-d wants? Doesn't that sound like sugar-coated bigotry?
